Winter Seminar 2016

Cultural Policy Observatory Ireland (CPOI) held its 2016 Winter seminar in collaboration with the MA Festive Arts programme at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick on 16th November 2016.

This two-part seminar explored the diverse research methodologies in cultural policy research. It took place on Wednesday 16th November 2016 in the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick, 12.30-5.30pm, and comprised of:

  • Event 1 (12.30pm-3.30pm): a Methods Seminar for CPOI Affiliate Researchers and doctoral candidates.
  • Event 2 (3.30pm-5.30pm): a keynote presentation by cultural policy researcher, Prof. Eleonora Belfiore. Prof. Belfiore discussed the value of humanities methods in cultural policy research and consider how we might work towards a research-informed, intellectually-sound national conversation on culture and policy.
